Improving Local Services
Independent Review of Local A&E Services
In 2013 & 2017, SISH were asked to run an independent review of people’s experiences of using A&E for self harm treatment. We talked to over 40 people and have written a report and summary of their experiences. Now we are working with the NHS to make changes based on the recommendations of those who took part. We have formed a small group of people who use or have used self harm to work with the NHS and think about other improvements that could be made. If you would like to get involved in this work or find out more please get in touch with us. If you would like to know more about the research and what we did we would be very happy to discuss this.
